So the Independent had a review of the ATP Pre-Chrimble thing and mentioned that Genesis P-Orridge had had a sex-change. Investigation on the internet revealed this wasn't the case, but then turned up this awful collection of crap from Disinfo.com about she-males. The first paragraph alone manages to conflate and confuse sex, sexuality and gender, then it just goes downhill. A wise and fluey person sitting near me pointed out that just because people are counter-cultural doesn't mean that they won't talk out of their recta when it comes to gender.

Damn, now I'm going to spend the rest of the evening wondering what the plural or 'rectum' is.

What do you expect, they quote that dimwit J Michael Bailey (he's the one with the controversial 'primary and secondary transsexualism')...

If you dislike this piece, which a total and confused mess, I'd warn you to stay away from the piece they did on the TV show. I'm actually shocked that the nonsense was posted since its simply badly put together.

I'm a fan of Disinfo if for no other reason than they put stuff out that makes you think. I do take what they say with a grain of salt since I do have problems with some of their pieces. They did a piece for the TV show on "extreme" porn that went on way way too long and was slanted anti porn, which is fine, but did so by quoting different film makers with the same twisted view point. What they didn't tell you was that they all worked at and own the one company putting out their crap (and it is crap).

As for the article one would hope that anyone interested would read more than just this article.

well yes, I used the phrase with slightly larger quote marks around it than that. Disinfo would probably explictly id itself as 'c-c', with all the crap that ensues...
