Well, I put off watching this for several weeks because S1E01 was so poor, but I have to say this was a vast improvement and suggests there may be some merit to continuing to watch this although the hints as to where this is going don't seem original, Echo will start to retain memories from her different assignments and presumably we'll discover that Alpha is Spartacus Hughes and has found a way to imprint it's personality on other people, one of whom is presumably Echo. Although the ridiculousness of the Dollhouse managing to stay hidden from the FBI but not potential clients could do with being explained much like many of the ways the program works (perhaps it's that the Dollhouse is known to people higher up than Ballard but why they aren't making more of an effort (ie: none) to stop him investigating isn't clear) it's starting to look less like an excuse for cheap softcore porn under the guise of female emancipation.
