I've started reading The Boy in the Dress by David Walliams. This is the book that
gair declined to read because she's a cowardy custard and has nits.
Initial impressions are, much to my surprise, mildly positive. Getting Quentin Blake to illustrate will, I think, turn out to be a mistake for Walliams as he comes across as a emasculated Roald Dahl in his writing and doesn't really need anything to emphasise the comparison.

Baby trannies today, they don't know they're born...
