It varies. If I'm around other ('proper') transsexual people or some queer space where I don't feel safe, then I deliberately try to present as a 'boy-in-a-skirt'. On my own, or with good friends, then I let it slip a bit more. My working premise for several years is that I'm a bisexual woman happily living in a bisexual man's body.

what sort of libary do you work in?

I work in a public library, the name of which I'm obviously not eager to publicise, although it's not too difficult for anyone who wanted to to work it out. We have a fairly mixed clientele in terms of race, age, gender, sexuality and have just been through a major refit of the library which seems to have turned out more positive than negative in the end, which is a relief.
