BBC to air 'kid-friendly' version of Torchwood. So presumably this means an identical form of the show with Owen Harper digitally removed from the show. What's worrying is that they don't give any indication that they are going to fix the problems with Torchwood by dumping the stupid sex and swearing of the first series and aim for adult storylines along the lines of Father's Day or Human Nature/The Family of Blood. Name one episode of Torchwood that came close to Doomsday for emotional impact. Which was better, Jack kissing the Doctor or Owen kissing some bloke in the pub he'd just chemically coshed?

And would be very hard to make 'kid-friendly' (although if any writer could pull it off, I suspect Catherine Tregenna could. Or Steven Moffatt, but he's not writing for Torchwood).
