Actually, I'm not sure you should restrict the freedom of speech of people on communities. That's how this whole anti-pr0n business on Livejournal came about. What one person thinks is offensive is what bonds other people. It's like the 'outrage' over the ballerina who was a member of the BNP all over again. At least if people join the group we know who to avoid. It's a small step from saying 'we don't allow the BNP' on here to then stopping any 'groups with views' on Facebook. And while that may work in favour against Christian Voice or something - it could easily go the other way. They could start saying 'well we won't allow any activists of any sort on Facebook', to 'no one who doesn't believe in what we do' - and then where are we if they don't agree with what we believe in - whether that's homosexuals or Buddhists or Liberals or Greenpeace or Outrage or Stonewall or people with a slightly wonky eye or whatever. I think it's completely fair to disagree with people and for anyone to hold controversial views and stand up for their beliefs but I wouldn't want to stop people having their freedoms. Join whatever group you like but people should be aware they will be judged on their choices - whether that's the 'Crocs are great!' group, the 'CND' group or the 'BNP supporters' group.
I'm just voting against, I'm not going on to Facebook and doing anything about it. Just reminding them they are not nice people and their opinions should not be considered mainstream or indicative of society just yet.
