Don't Forget to Breathe

Realised last night that I was starting to freak out about Bicon, I don't think I've pushed myself so far outside my defined comfort zone since I went to university, ten years ago this September.

Anyway, I should be alright now, I think I may have to organise a mutual support system with plumsbitch so we both keep each other from freaking out. But if Bicon hadn't been in London last year so I got some idea what to expect there is no way in hell I'd be going to it this year.

Anyway, got various things to keep myself busy until Thursday. The squalor in my flat has driven me to the point of cleaning, hopefully I'll be meeting up with some people if the weather improves and I have to buy myself a new discman as my old one seems to have very definitely packed up.

honey, you know i'm there fore you (and have already told people that you're my 'designated driver' over on my lj, so it definitely goes both ways). I'm nervous too. But i'm also really glad you're going, as it was great doing last year's with you (and you pretty much enabled me, in all sorts of ways, emotionally included, to get there and enjoy it so much) and doing it without you would feel really weird, bad weird. So i will call you/vice versa when we get to manch.

If everything goes wrong you can always either get on a train and go home or sit on your bed with your duvet over your head. I usually do the latter and think about the escape but it's worth bearing in mind that you never have to be stuck anywhere.

she's right, you know. It mikght well be easier in someways that last year becoz we'll be styaing on campus, so I'm thinking there will definitely be times when I go back to my flat, curl up in bed with a cuppa and read OotP/get my own space. Last year we didn't really have that option readily available...

Anything I can do, let me know(i have butterflies right now so understand yr point. check all those 'maintenance guides', loads of people feel apprehensive/wobbly, it's not at all just you).

I suggest reading yr entries from after bicon last year, you captured beautifully alot of why I'm going this year.
