My earphones are almost dead, I can't buy new ones until Friday evening and I'm determined not to do my usual thing of going and buying the same model earphones when they've bust after only around six months in exactly the same way as before, namely that where the cables sneak around the back of your ears they've cracked open, exposing the wire underneath. If this is the eventual fate of all these types of earphones then I'm sure that I can find perfectly adequate earphones in Currys, rather than paying £70 a time at an Apple shop.

Fun times in Peckham for the last two days, saw their new-ish library which is very nice and does a good job of trying to hide the books from the public as best it can so as to not disturb them. Then I found out that there was a small fire near where I work that has caused problems for anyone going to London Bridge via train and which may well have knock-on effects for going to work tomorrow as they've shut down the roads around the library. It seems to be rather a week for fires in London.

21 bus goes from London Bridge to Peckham and back. Quicker than the 343 which does the same route but takes much longer.

Turns out I lied. 21 goes down Old Kent Road but doesn't go thruogh Peckham. i was thinking of the 436 which goes nowhere near London Bridge. oh well

If you want cheap headphones, you can do even better than Curry's. On your lunch break in Peckham, take a 5-minute walk down Rye Lane to the Argos. My dad is a music nerd and he taught me how to read the product specs on headphones packages to make sure you get good quality sound. That's how I discovered these a few years ago. They're nice, long-lasting, surprisingly decent quality headphones and they're only about £3.
