Mind you, I suppose that looking at the actual research answers, the more positive spin is that around two-thirds of people surveyed aren't total fuckwits.

Date: 2005-11-21 03:44 pm (UTC)An even more pessimistic way of reading the research answers is to note that the number of people who believe a woman is completely or partially responsible for being raped if she has behaved flirtatiously is probably not exactly the same people who believe a woman is completely or partially responsible for being raped if she is wearing sexy or revealing clothing, and so on; therefore, the total number of people who gave fuckwitted answers to the various questions probably adds up to even more than a third.
