I've started watching more music telly recently. The M.I.A. is a bit naff (the last ten seconds, when she stencil-paints M.I.A. on the camera lense works better than the rest of the thing) and sheer bloody repition is starting to win me over to the new Franz Ferdinand song, though the video makes them look as ugly as trolls. Get thee to dentists young boys! That 'remix' of 'Pump Up The Jamm', what's going on there? Can you really put a bigger drumbeat and some random plonking ona keyboard over a classic and make it your own?

Leaders of the Free World by Elbow is my album and song of the moment. Bloody brilliant. I hope they never get nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.
