Are you people on Crack? The Prophesy II is perhaps the best film in history. Note in particular that it is The Prophesy II, whereas the Prophesy 3 is the Prophesy 3. No explanation of this is given.

But come on! Eric Roberts is the Archangel Michael. How can I explain this better? Eric Roberts is the Archangel Michael. Eric Roberts is the Archangel Michael. Keep saying it until everything makes sense.

I particularly like the opening of the Prophesy, where Elias Koteas (who is, by the way, my God) has the terrible vision at his ordination. We cut to a homicide. And who should be investigating it? Yes, it's Elias Koteas. Who, in the manner of many young seminarians who lost their faith, has become a hard-bitten homicide detective.

Ahem. Walken's performance is _superb_, though. Looking back, his dance training must be a factor, but the way he communicates the weightlessness of Gabriel, the hollow bones and avian characteristics is excellent.
