blahflowersI've just finished reading The Complete Bone. Awwww! What a wonderful book! I love Jeff Smith's plotting, he uses the black-and-white style better than anyone else I've seen, and I'm including Cerebus (or what I've read of it so far, up to the end of Women). Dave Sim is perhaps more artistically proficient but I haven't seen him do anything as brilliant as the storm section in Book Three.
It also has that trick of all the books I really enjoyed reading of making me sad to reach the last page rather than eager to read the next book as I usually am.
