Gary Spencer Millidge is a Lunatic.

A glorious and generous lunatic but a lunatic none the less. After letting him use a couple of my Flickr photos of Alan Moore for his new book Alan Moore: Storyteller, Gary Spencer Millidge has, unbelievably and most generously, sent me a copy of the book. He didn't have to do this, they are CC and open for use as long as I'm credited as the person who took the photo (and maybe I'll spin off on that topic at some point, that I'm surprised how many people actually think to ask me, Wikipedia and The Guardian haven't, and the Flickr thing for tracking back who links to your photos is pretty useless for finding where they are being used but I'm always flattered when people who could just take the photos think to actually ask that it's okay). I have it on my desk now and it looks gorgeous. I may well force myself to leave it alone for a couple of weeks to use some holiday time to properly enjoy it, but in the meantime all I can say to Mister Millidge is 'thank you sir, you're a scholar and a gentleman!'
