May. 7th, 2010 08:37 pmIf the Lib Dems make a deal with the Conservatives I will not vote for them again until, at the very least, Nick Clegg leaves the Commons, possibly longer.
I'm not sure that it's in the interests of the Lib Dems to make a deal with Labour as, even together, their majority would be so small that they end up like the last term of John Major's government. If the Tories managed to topple the Government that would mean the Liberal Democrats as well, leaving the Tories unopposed to win the next election.
Even if it means that, in the short term, Cameron gets to live in the house he has not won the Lib Dems should hold back and prepare for the inevitable election soon to come again.
But what do I know?
