Does No-One Learn to Drive Any More?
Apr. 22nd, 2010 06:45 pmI work in a building on a fairly busy junction. Down the road my building is on, say about the length of a tennis court, are temporary traffic lights for roadworks. All day I have watched as cars have turned into the road then blocked oncoming traffic as they wait behind the queue of cars caught by the roadwork traffic lights.
I suppose it's the fear that if they don't block the gap then some other car may come along and get there first. But did they not see the episode of The Young Ones where the vampiric driving instructor from South Africa explained about the correct etiquette for what a driver should do at a junction?
