Feb. 17th, 2007 07:14 pmIn the book of Frankenstein Mary Shelley doesn't waste much time over how Vic makes the monster. In his film 'Frankenstein' Kenneth Brannagh spends some time and effort 'explaining' how Victor brings Robert De Niro to life. Is this symptomatic of the difference between the female and male storyteller, or just the fact that as Brannagh is trading in pictures you have to have something there whereas Shelley could get away with just skipping over that bit?
