Grrr, Amazon.com
Aug. 26th, 2006 11:55 amIn my continuing quest to complete my DtWoF collection I've ordered them from Amazon.com (alyson's books didn't appear to stock the two I needed). The pages for both claim they are both in stock, so why is Amazon saying it won't ship them until the end of October?
Is this some weird software burp, based on the fact I'm in the UK?
Or is Amazon.com lying about how 'in stock' these 'in stock' items really are? I ordered them initially from Amazon.co.uk where they were listed as 'wait 6 to 8 weeks' and I lost patience the third time got an email saying 'you'll have to wait another 6 to 8 weeks'. So, does Amazon.com no longer give details on tit's pages about how long people might have to wait for a book and only calculates that at the stage where it tells you when they are going to be dispatched?
