Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children attack a book they patently haven't seen, although as the book in question is Lost Girls by Melinda Gebbie and Alan Moore their reaction is understandable. As understandable as their sanctioning an author to write a sequel to Peter Pan in an attempt to maintain their copyright over the character that runs out next year.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] lucy_anne I have been wasting parts of my day reading this. A long and involved story of clashing personalities in Pottership Down. It has everything, racism, sexism, misogyny, accusations of insanity, Harry Potter fanfic, lack of perspective... It's certainly helped to give me a different perspective on when this happens to communities I know of or care about.

In other news, TFIF. I am knackered. There are various things I could do this weekend but at the moment I am so tired that slicing off the top of my head and feasting on the goo inside sounds like the smart choice.
