Jan. 15th, 2006 02:45 pmI should point out that if you hadn't seen the 2004 remake of The Stepford Wives you really shouldn't, no memorable characters, plots that don't follow through and it's so spineless in it's objectifying of the women or making the men out to be sleazes, I haven't seen the original or read the book yet but honestly, what's the point of making this film as some light-hearted comedy?
You should instead seek out Kung-Fu Hustle which is fun and very silly. There is little plot, just a gang attacks a neighbourhood and gets beaten off by kung-fu masters that happen to live there, but there are loads of nods and winks to western films (thats 'films from the west' as opposed to 'films about the wild west') in there too.
