What I Want to See in Harry Potter 6...
Jul. 16th, 2005 04:08 pmAs I'm not getting the bastard until Monday at the earliest so will have to play dodge the spoiler on the net.
Some movement in the Potter-Malfoy relationship. What with his 'Oooh, I'm so going to kick your arse' hissy-fit at the end of the last book this doesn't seem at all likely, but as the 'Prisoner' film showed, he's essentially not a very interesting character after the big role House Malfoy play in 'Chamber of Secrets'. So either Malfoy goes full on mental and kills someone or he just submits and gives Harry's philosophers stones a good licking.
Seeing as Rowling has sort of managed to explain why staying with the Dursleys is actually safe for Harry, it would be nice to get some depth to the various school houses at last. Maybe have some nice Slytherin who are against Voldemort, who don't have poor complexions or names from 'My First Book of Evil Sounding Names'? I presume that now that Voldemort knows the prediction that he and Harry will have to fight one another to the death he'll feel more cocky about taking out Dumbledore? With the not-so-big-reveal from the end of Book Five, unless Rowling suddenly has Dumbledore saying "Yet again Harry, I haven't told you the full truth, I'll disappear until the last chapter and then I'll tell you all about it" again Dumbledore is about as useful and expendable as Obi Wan after he shut the tractor beam down, or whatever it was he did.
Harry forcing Fudge to go around wearing a gimp suit and a big sign saying "I am Harry Potter's bitch".
