Just had my parents and my sister up to visit, we had an average Italian meal, then went to PC World to buy me some new speakers for my computer. PC World were having some sort of problem with their computers which meant credit card payments took around ten minutes when they should take thirty seconds. I'd picked the last set of speakers in a particular brand off the shelf and asked a passing salesperson if it was complete. He took a cursory glance, half pulled the package out of the box and said 'yeah'. When we got home and I emptied the box, of course! I found it was missing both a user manual and the power adapter. So back to PC World, to get a refund, then find another set of speakers, make sure they had the security tag on so no-one else could have got in the box, then waiting about twenty minutes at the till to pay for these speakers. Thankfully when we got back to my flat these ones did work. So I can hear again!
