On His'n'Hers and Different Class whenever Jarvis is addressing 'you', it's a girl he's talking to, when he's not he's more likely than not singing about a girl. Where are the boys in this? Are we part of the Jarvis-sexgod-character-singing-the-songs (as opposed to Jarvis Cocker, the real person?) When we have no explicit location in the geography of a song (and I'm widening this bit beyond Pulp) where do we go? Do you get a secret thrill when a singer addresses 'you' and makes you someone/thing your not?
